I recommend that if you are going to open up your MBP you might as well max it out. Thank you for any insight or suggestions! The storage is actually less that the standard HD that's in my Mac (275gb vs the 500gb that's installed) I have external storage that I keep my important and large files on anyway, but will the decrease in storage not make the SSD as effective or regardless of storage size will the fact that it IS an SSD drive make all the difference? Would the following make a noticeable difference? : e&catalogId=10151&productId=11701&extern… (2x4gb Crucial RAM) I also know that 8gb it the suggested max but people have reported that 16gb will work (I know, it might be overkill, but After Effects can be pretty taxing.) I also know that RAM isn't the only upgrade suggested, it's all about SSD over the old HD's. After a quick google around I've found that Crucial seems to be the way to go. It's been about 4 year so I guess now's the time for an update. ![]() I use Adobe's Creative Cloud to edit and I've found my Mid 2012 Macbook Pro struggling.
